World Entrepreneurship Day (WED) is a 24 hour world-wide celebration of entrepreneurship and innovation, taking place for the third time on April 15th, 2011. WED was recognized by 35+ countries and an estimated 50,000+ people in its second year. Through both local and global campaigns, events, and programs, World Entrepreneurship Day aims to remind the world that it is entrepreneurs who have consistently led bad economies back to prosperity and growth through innovation and job creation.
We would love to have you join us as one of the following positions:
- Country Champion – work locally in your country to spread entrepreneurship through events and initiatives.
- WED Global Team Volunteer – open positions include: Global Recruitment & Engagement Director, Enrollment Specialist, Outreach Strategist, Social Media Strategist, Event Management Master, Research Expert, Design & Interactive Expert.

STEPS TO APPLY
Step #1 First, figure out if you will apply as a Country Champion or Global Team Volunteer:
Apply as a WED Global Team Volunteer if:
- You have at least 5 hours of free time per week.
- You are looking to work with & connect with international leaders.
- You would like to work on WED at a high level, i.e. be a part of strategic vision and global marketing rather than the mechanics of events production.
- You are looking for a remarkable learning experience that would enhance any resume.
Apply to become a Country Champion if:
- You have at least 5 hours of free time per week
- Would like to focus on the entrepreneurial success of your country.
- You would like to learn first hand about partnerships, sponsorships, events production, team management, and so much more.
- Can be a working professional, student, etc. etc.
Step #2 Download the application associated with your choice above.
Step #3 Set aside 20-30 minutes to give your application some careful thought.
